Privacy Policy

Overview

Let It Loop ("we", "our", "the extension") is a browser automation tool available as a Chrome extension and Android app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we access, why, and how it is handled.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. Your data stays under your control at all times.

Information We Access

The extension requests limited access to your Google account through the following OAuth scopes:

Permission What It Accesses Why We Need It
drive.metadata.readonly File names, IDs, and modification dates of your Google Drive files To display a list of your spreadsheets so you can choose which one to connect to a workflow
drive.file Files created or opened by the extension in your Google Drive To store workflow configuration files for mobile app sync in a dedicated "PersistenceExtension" folder in your Drive
spreadsheets Cell data in spreadsheets you explicitly select To read input data from and write output data to Google Sheets as part of your automated workflows
userinfo.email Your Google account email address To identify your account for mobile app sync and workflow ownership

We only access files and spreadsheets that you explicitly select or that the extension itself creates. We never scan, index, or access your other Drive files.

How We Use Your Data

  • Workflow automation: Reading spreadsheet rows to drive browser actions and writing results back to your selected spreadsheet.
  • Spreadsheet selection: Displaying a list of your spreadsheet names so you can choose which one to connect.
  • Mobile app sync: Storing workflow configuration in your own Google Drive so the Let It Loop Android app can access it.
  • Account identification: Using your email address to link the Chrome extension with the mobile app.

Data Storage

Local storage

Workflow configurations, settings, and cached authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage APIs. This data never leaves your device except when syncing to your own Google Drive.

Google Drive

When you enable mobile sync, the extension creates a folder called "PersistenceExtension" in your Google Drive and stores workflow JSON files there. These files are in your Drive and under your control.

Firebase

When you enable mobile sync, minimal workflow metadata (workflow name, field definitions, and your email) is stored in Firebase Realtime Database to enable communication between the extension and the mobile app. No spreadsheet content or personal files are stored in Firebase.

No external servers

We do not operate servers that store your personal data, spreadsheet content, or Google Drive files. All user data resides either locally in your browser, in your own Google Drive, or in Firebase for sync purposes only.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties. Your data is used solely for the functionality described in this policy.

Data Retention and Deletion

  • Local data: Removed immediately when you uninstall the extension or clear extension data in Chrome settings.
  • Google Drive data: Files in the "PersistenceExtension" folder remain in your Drive until you delete them. You can delete this folder at any time through Google Drive.
  • Firebase data: You can disconnect mobile sync from the extension settings, which removes your workflow data from Firebase. You can also request complete deletion by contacting us.
  • OAuth access: You can revoke the extension's access to your Google account at any time by visiting myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing "Let It Loop".

Security

All communication with Google APIs is encrypted using HTTPS. OAuth tokens are managed by Chrome's built-in identity system and are never exposed to web pages or third parties. The extension follows Chrome Manifest V3 security best practices including isolated service workers and content security policies.

Children's Privacy

Let It Loop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
